We have many types of percussion lessons available such as mallet percussion lessons for people who’d like to learn the glockenspiel, marimba, xylophone or vibraphone. We also have a variety of hand drum lessons to focus on such as djembe, bongos, congas, cajon, finger drums and auxiliary percussion including tambourine, a-go-go bells and castanets, just to name a few. Timpani lessons are also an option. This could be part of the focus for the well rounded percussionist or it could be the entire focus for someone who wishes to perform in their community or with a specific orchestra. We would discuss tuning the timpani and various sticking patterns along with the very unique way of holding the mallets and playing rolls and damping.
